A fence and entrance considered together
This project combined the appearance of a timber fence with the need for an opening through the fence line. Planning both elements together helped connect the gate with the surrounding boundary rather than making it look like a separate addition.
What the original photo shows
The timber boards continue across the fence and the gate leaves. With the double gate open, the photo shows the opening into the garden and the relationship between the fence line and the entrance. It is a useful reference for discussing a similar timber layout.
A starting point for your own design
